why Men are useless

 

Have you ever heard of this thing called a mantrum? yup thats right, a man trum. its just like a tantrum that a five year old would throw except that its being thrown by a grown ass man. There arent real men left anymore. I have been working in an industry that has been dominated by men and I meet tons of different types of men. The ones that are married? well some of them seem like they are ok guys although i am sure they arent nearly as great as they seem once you get them alone. The single ones? Ladies they are single for a reason. Its like looking for a used car at an auction. yeah.. maybe you will find some deals but most probably you will just end up with something that is in rough shape and needs a lot of work.. or maybe it looks okay on first glance but once you lift the hood there are nothing but problems.. mice have chewed through the wires and theres big dents in places there shouldnt be.  There may be some good men left.. I doubt it though.. it seems like a bad romantic comedy plot that there may be some guy somewhere whos nice and decent who doesnt live with his mom and doesnt have ex wife or ex girfriend drama and baggage but i doubt it.. if there was such this as a good guy who was single.. he is still single because hes unattractive, a workoholic or just plain isnt interested in a relationship right now.
Where does this leave us ladies? Well a few years ago i read an article in the calgary journal that made its way all across canada. The story read that women who lived in saskatchewan were driving to calgary to find a good man. The women who lived in calgary were driving to the states to look for a good man. Somehow It seems unlikely that any of these women werereally going to find anything although i am sure a few found something… where does this leave us as a society? Women who are raising boys that dont actually grow up to be men. . the next generation just ends up having to “raise ” their husbands into men.. if they even grow up enough to have a family..
Maybe i am just bitter.. maybe i have been soured to the whole situation of being near a man .. dont get me wrong i still have daydreams of finding a good guy.. he doesnt have to be prince charming, hell he doesnt even have to be that good looking .. I would just settle for a man a real man who doesnt wipe his boogers on the sheets.. is that too much to ask?

Why is there money on the floor?

Today i followed a trail of nickels along the living room floor.. why is there a dollar in nickels on the floor i ask craig and then i noticed the dogs were chewing on something.. they were taking turns ripping apart newly rolled tubes of nickels.. quarters and pennies. . they didnt eat any., i know because i counted but they still liked the ripping.. i think it was the sound.. silly basset hounds.

eggplant! ? !!

So the other night i bought an eggplant, inspired as i was by the doctors episode that was featuring an eggplant roll up. I was excited as i brought home my purchase but i couldnt for the life of me find a recip that i liked or sounded good.. and none of the ingredients were stuff i just keep on hand.. stuff like ricotta cheese and gold flakes. . okay i made that part up but it might as well have called for some kobeyashi  beef and some black truffles lol. So needles to say no eggplant.. :(

My new horse cloud

So here is a little bit more about me and cloud. When i first bought cloud i thought i was going to get back into barrel racing, maybe abra (alberta barrel racing assoc.) Maybe I would do some local jackpots. I also thought about starting back into roping. In a new place and all alone in the horse culture here i really dont have many options. I have made some friends through different websites and a clinic and i think the thing i am the most interested in will be the trick horse circuit. There is some demand for trick horses and it seems like all great people  I have always loved doing grand entry and shows and rodeos and parades and i think this will be a great thing.

When I bought Cloud I was hoping for a real leopard appaloosa. Something that looked like this:

 In fact i had dreams for months about finding this horse.  A registered appaloosa gelding. A beautiful perfect spotted leopard appy. When my friends selena, also in the trick ring found her perfect appy sparkle i  was so jelous. I looked and looked and i really didnt think i would be able to find a horse that looked like this that wasnt ridiculously priced.. i found cloud ansd i am happy. i started looking through the links on the appaloosa horse club of canada and i found a website that looked like they had very promising horses.  I shouldnt have looked at their for sale page but i did and i found something immediately that made me get butterflies.  His name is Phantom. He is an '06 registered leopard appaloosa. He is halter broke and barely. The women was asking for 1500. i am sure she will come down in price. here are the photos of my new horse, he arrives june 2 2011. i am sooo excited and cloud is too. he cant wait for his new brother to arrive

A horse trend in ALBERTA gets me in a fever

Welcome back! i have missed you sincce we were last together!

I would like to introduce you to my new horse. This is cloud. He is a registered appaloosa born in 2008. His registered name is Navajo cloudburst.  I started looking for a new horse almost three months ago. I spent months driving here and there looking at horses who had potential. I noticed a trend in Alberta where i am living that gets me all in a fever.

The trend? Too many horses and not enough time. I cant tell you how many horses i have seen that are beautiful and talented and have huge potential to be an amazing barrel horse or a heeler or a kids first horse.. but people will keep horses they dont use, just because they have plans for that horse or had the best intentions. Finally some of these people realize they have too many horses and need to sell them. Most times these horses are not broke. Maybe they will be broke to lead in a halter or broke to stand while the farrier takes care of them if they have even had their hooves taken care of.. They will be anywhere from three to  twenty three years old and  some will be well bred, papered and have impressive pedigrees.. some will have no pedigrees at all and will be considered "grade".  No matter what tho they will be over priced. People will ask a starting price of 1000 dollars canadian. Sure sometimes they will lower the price when offered something lower, because they know that a lot of work will be needed to get these horses to a good place where they can be ridden or even worked with..That leads me to the next thing. . Prices.  People right now are asking 2500 and 3500 dollars for a 2010 and 2011 foal. Yearlings and weanlings that are not broke or started or even weaned from their mommas! People are also asking 3-8 thousand for 23 year old horses.. these horses arent many years left for this world but people are still trying to sell these horses like there is a prime market for them.

This is where i have come in. I would like to start buying horses here and there and train them to sell.. its spring breakup here and i am not working while the ground hardens and the thaw comes out of the ground. i think it could be a great idea.

I bought cloud, not broke and barely halter broke for 450$ now with 30 days in training he is worth maybe 1000.a few more months he will be in the 3000 range.

 This is my new trailer. this too was a pain in the butt. This is a 1984 glendale 2 horse bumper pull horse trailer. This kind of a trailer has an asking price of 2500-5000 dollars.  A brand new trailer starts somewhere in the 13 thousand dollar range...  The nice lady i bought  this one from was asking 4500 dollars for, and i managed to get it for 2500. a steal? you tell me!
